Visit to Berlin for History students

 

The History Department is organising a residential trip to Berlin, Germany for students in Years 12 & 13.  The trip will take place from Sunday 22 to Wednesday 25 February 2009.  The aim of the visit is to gain historical knowledge and culture from one of the most historically rich cities in Europe. The students will focus on visiting the city’s museums and sites which will provide information from the Second World War and the Cold War. Visits will include: 

    • Checkpoint Charlie
    • Brandenburg Gate
    • Pergamon Museum
    • The Berlin Wall
    • Sachsenhaussen Concentration Camp
    • The City of Berlin
