GCE A Level Examinations
Outgoing Year 13 students achieved an outstanding 99.4% pass with 71.7% of grades in the top range of A and B marking a new record for the school at this level.
Three of our students obtained remarkable results which were in the top ten worldwide: one in French A2, one in Further Maths and another in both Biology AS and Spanish A2.
With these results students successfully accessed their first choice courses at university and will now be going on to higher education in the UK, Spain and elsewhere. Two students were accepted at Cambridge, whilst others have been admitted at prestigious institutions such as Imperial College, King's College, U.C.L., Manchester, St. Andrew's, Boston. The A Level students who have opted to study in Spain have been admitted to top Spanish universities including the Universidad Autónoma,, the Universidad Complutense, ICADE, and the Politécnica.
The results of the AS Level examinations taken by Year 12 students also revealed high levels of achievement with a 92.7% pass rate and 53.9% achieving the top grades A and B.
(I)GCSE Examinations
Students in Year 11 also achieved the best examination results ever. In IGCSE 100% of students achieved the benchmark of 5 or more A* to C grades. The overall pass rate was 94.4 % and 49.7% of grades were at the top A*/A or B level.
This remarkable achievement will enable our students to move confidently to their "A" Level studies.
