Performing Arts
This year has seen the start of a new after school club in Performing Arts. Classes in Drama, Dance and Music take place on Friday after school, run by Sofia Martyn. The club is known as The La Moraleja Academy and it promises to be a thriving new development for the school. The first performance will take place in June.
We have also had six school shows so far this year – Year 2 performed a fabulous Christmas Show, Year 5 gave a very professional performance of the children’s musical “H2O” and Year 4 (pictured here in their finale) performed 8 songs from hit musicals as part of their homespun show “Lights, Camera Action!”. Year 3 sang and acted beautifully in their production of "Fleeced", the story of Jason and the Argonauts and then we tried somthing new with the Year 7 and 8 show, "Troy Story". We seated the audience at tables with food and drink whilst they enjoyed this terrific show. Not to be outdone by all these performances, our Reception class entertained their parents with some superb singing and dancing in their show about journeys.
