Headmaster's welcome

H.FitzHerbert"As a teacher and a parent, education is of paramount importance to me and at King's College School we recognize that your child's foundation years are crucial - they are spent developing the knowledge, skills and values which will affect the rest of their lives.

Since our opening in September 2007, we have established ourselves as a thriving, hard-working and happy school. We are a co-educational day school for pupils aged 2 to 14 and as Headteacher, I am an international member of the IAPS (the Independent Association of Prep Schools). Delivering the best possible British style education within the context of Spain is perhaps our most important objective. Keeping up to date with the best of British practice is a high priority for us and to that end our school is also a member of COBIS (the Council of British International Schools).

We encourage our children to put effort into all that they undertake academically, culturally and physically. As a school, we aim to provide students with an excellent all-round education, while fostering tolerance and understanding among the different nationalities and backgrounds represented. I believe that children can thrive in a friendly and caring environment and so we place great importance on pastoral care and The Golden Rules.

I hope that this website, and also the school brochure, will give you an impression of what we can offer at King's, but there is no substitute for visiting the school in person."

Harry FitzHerbert
Headmaster.
