Everyclassroom is equipped with state-of-the-art interactivewhiteboards and wi-fi internet connection.

Trainingis regularly provided to all staff to ensure that teaching and learning isup-to-date with the latest developments.

Everyprimary classroom has its own ICT provision. Pupils benefit from a range ofearly years software packages in the Nursery School where they begin to developbasic computer skills such as mouse control. A typical programme, like SoundStories (from the Oxford Literacy Web) will be introduced to the whole class atone time.

Children then have the opportunity to practice their skills in an interactive andstimulating environment, usually working in pairs with their teacher orclassroom assistant. Sound, colour and animation all help to captivate achild's interest in computers right from the start of their education at King´sCollege.

In theSecondary Department there are two ICT suites for pupil use during ICT lessonsand for additional activities. Further ICT workstations are available in theLibrary and there is a rolling programme of investment in lap-tops.

Seniorstudents are encouraged to view computers as tools for learning in all subjectareas.

Provision includes:

· ABroadcast system, which allows teachers to demonstrate techniques on allscreens simultaneously.Staff can also view what is happening on each monitorfrom the master computer and take control of individual computers to give guidanceon screen.

· Digital, still and video camerasintroduce students to image processing allowing photographs to be imported intodocuments with ease.

· Students have access to teachergenerated moodles which track and assess student progress, and these are usedregularly to provide extension work and out-of-hours guidance to students.

- Two fully equipped multimedia computerlaboratories have access to the Internet through a fast ADSL communicationlink. Photographic quality colour printers are available for rapid output ofwork.
